I came to the United States from Iran at the age of eleven and lived near International-House (I-House) on top of Bancroft Way. The apartment I lived in was only a few streets away from where the University California Berkeley Football team played its weekly games. As a kid I could climb the hills overlooking the stadium and watch the games for free among the eucalyptus trees.
